We've managed to pack quite a lot into such a short term. Our Year 1 and Year 2 students have been busy on school trips to The Black Country Museum and Rockingham Castle. Year 2 students did us proud at The Big Sing, and we had a special visit from Joe Roebuck for a sponsored circuit.

Looking ahead to the summer term - it promises to be another exciting one with Sports Day, Year 2 Leavers Party Day and our annual Summer Fair. As the weather begins to warm up, please be reminded to send children in with labelled water bottles and sun hats and to apply sun cream before school.

We would like to remind all families that, in line with government guidelines, we are unable to authorise family holidays during term time. Regular school attendance is essential to ensure that all pupils make consistent progress in their learning. We kindly ask that holidays and family trips are planned during school holidays to avoid disruption to your child’s education.

Thank you for your continued support. Wishing you all a restful break, and we look forward to seeing everyone in the new term.

Mrs. Eldridge

Rockingham Castle Trip

Year 2 students had an exciting day out on their school trip to Rockingham Castle! It was filled with wonder as they explored the castle rooms, marvelled at the historical artefacts, and imagined what life would have been like within the majestic walls.

We are thrilled they had a great time soaking up the history and beauty of the castle in the sun.

A big thank you to our parent volunteers who helped us on this trip.

Planting Beanstalks

This term, our EYFS parents joined us to plant a beanstalk as part of our Jack and Beanstalk topic. It was a wonderful hands-on experience, and we are grateful to all the parents who attended. The children were full of excitement as they carefully planted and watered their seeds. We can't wait to see how tall your beanstalks grow!

Sports 4 Schools

It was wonderful to meet the inspirational Joe Roebuck as he led the students in exercises for our sponsored fitness circuit. Seeing the students pushing themselves to their limits and cheering each other on was truly heartwarming. The playground was full of energy and excitement all afternoon. We are super impressed by how well our students did. A big well done to everyone!

Please return the sponsorship forms and any money to the school by Tuesday, 3rd June. Thank you for your support. We look forward to purchasing some new playground/ PE equipment for our students.

The Black Country Museum

Our year 2 students had an excellent time at The Black Country Museum. They enjoyed walking down cobbled streets and exploring traditional shops and homes where they could touch, feel, and interact with historical artifacts. It was a hands-on history experience that sparked curiosity and brought learning to life!

Again, we would like to thank our parent volunteers who helped us on this trip.

The Big Sing

The INMAT Big Sing took place this week at Northampton's Royal & Derngate featuring an incredible 450 singers representing 11 schools from the INMAT Trust.

We enjoyed guest performances from Connor White, the members of the County Senior Chamber Choir, and Wellingborough-based Rap artist Miss Yxng-D.

Our Year 2 students who attended The Big Sing made us extremely proud. This experience not only showcased the incredible talent of our young singers but also fostered a sense of unity and collaboration amongst our students. It was a truly  wonderful evening. A big thank you to all the students for your handwork, and to the staff that supported them.

We look forward to doing it all again next year.
