As we approach the Easter holidays, the lengthening days and improving weather offer a refreshing change.

This term has been full of activity, and we're especially grateful for the strong parent involvement we've seen. The Phonics Screening meetings led by Miss Cox were a great success, with a fantastic turnout from our Year 1 parents. We hope you found these sessions informative and that they provide valuable tools for supporting your child's phonics development.

Furthermore, it was wonderful to see so many parents attend parents' evening appointments, creating a valuable opportunity to discuss student progress and future goals. The dedication shown during the year-group reading sessions, where parents generously shared their time to support the children to develop a love of reading, is also deeply appreciated; your commitment to your children's learning truly makes a difference.

World Book Day

This term, our World Book Day celebration was truly delightful. The children's costumes were brilliant! The creativity and effort that went into their outfits truly brought the characters to life. From Harry Potter to Matilda, the school was filled with a diverse array of characters!

The children had a fantastic time diving into different World Book Day inspired activities, from creating their own Super Potato to dreaming up unique characters and making them a reality with play-dough.

It was great to see everyone so excited and enthusiastic about celebrating the joy of reading.

Planting Seeds

Our year 1 students have been busy planting and caring for seeds this term. They have been learning about the parts of a plant and how they grow. The students have shown great enthusiasm and curiosity as they observe the changes happening to their plants day by day.

Students are not only gaining knowledge about plant life cycles but also developing a sense of responsibility and care for living things.

West Lodge Farm Trip

Our EYFS classes had a fabulous day at the farm recently! They had an amazing opportunity to interact with adorable farm animals, learning about them and their habitats up close.

The guided tractor tour and the pig race were definite highlights of the day, bringing smiles and excitement to all the children. The barrel ride was also a big hit, with giggles and laughter filling the air as the children enjoyed the sunny ride around the farm.

Our Eggs Hatched!

This term was truly egg-citing as we eagerly waited for Mrs. Middleton's eggs to hatch. The anticipation built up as we patiently watched over the incubator, wondering when the fluffy little creatures would make their grand entrance into the world.

Finally, our patience paid off as we were greeted with not just one, not two, but three adorable fluffy chicks! Their soft feathers and playful chirps instantly filled our school with joy and excitement. It was a delightful experience for the children and staff.

Easter Performance

Our Easter Performance was absolutely fantastic! The students sang and danced wonderfully, spreading joy and excitement throughout the church.  We are incredibly proud of the effort and dedication they displayed in preparing for the performance.

We would also like to say a big thank you to the teachers and parents for their guidance and encouragement.
