Friday 14th February

{item_alt_tag}

As we reach the midpoint of the academic year, it’s hard to believe how quickly time has flown! This past term has been filled with hard work and dedication from all the children, and we're excited to showcase some of their achievements in this newsletter.

Looking ahead, as we eagerly anticipate the arrival of spring and brighter days, all three year groups are diligently planning enriching educational visits. Please take a moment to check Arbor for details regarding your child's trip, including dates and payment information. We understand that finances can be challenging, and we've made every effort to keep the costs of these visits as low as possible. However, please be aware that the trips are dependent on sufficient contributions, and cancellation may be necessary if we don't reach our target. Finally, if you're available to volunteer your time and support us during these visits, please don't hesitate to contact the school office. We greatly appreciate all offers of assistance!

Hoping everyone has a lovely half-term break.

Children's Mental Health Week

We had a blast. Students took part in numerous activities focusing on mental health and well-being. From group discussions to mindfulness exercises. The highlight of our week was a special visit from James, a Pacesetters coach who did a wonderful presentation for our pupils.

To wrap up the week on a high note, we had a fun dress down day.  We got to wear an outfit that made us happy.

Year 1

Year 1 pupils had a wonderful hands-on experience this term as they made jam sandwiches in class. This activity served as excellent preparation for their writing task of creating detailed instructions on how to make a jam sandwich.

The students not only enjoyed the delicious end result but also learnt the importance of following steps in order and providing clear directions.

Valentines Disco

Our Valentines disco was a hit! We hope everyone had a blast and enjoyed themselves. Thanks to all who came out to support the event, we managed to raise an impressive £170 for our PTA. A huge shout-out to our teachers and parents who helped organise and volunteer at the event.

Pantomime

The pantomime was a huge success! The children adored Jack and the Giant Beanstalk. It was wonderful to see the students so engaged and enjoying the show. We want to express our gratitude to the PTA for making this experience possible.

Pacesetters Coaches

This academic year, our students have participated in lunchtime sessions led by the talented coaches Pete and Cameron from Pacesetters. These sessions have been filled with fun as the students engage in various games and activities that not only bring excitement but also foster teamwork and skill development. This is something we will be continuing, as the sessions have been a hit with the students.
