What a busy term this one has been!
This term, our Reception children delighted families with their Nativity performance, showcasing their confidence, enthusiasm, and wonderful teamwork. It was a pleasure to welcome parents and carers into the church to share this special event. We also enjoyed a festive Christmas Decoration Day, where parents joined their children in the classroom to create beautiful decorations. It was clear to see that the children loved working alongside their families.
Unfortunately, due to the weather, our Key Stage One children were not able to perform their Christmas carols performance on the playground. Instead, the children sang together in the hall with huge smiles and great enthusiasm, filling the school with festive cheer and getting everyone into the Christmas spirit. It was wonderful to see their confidence shine as they performed so proudly. We will be sending out a video of the performance for you to enjoy soon.
Parents and carers have also showed fantastic support by contributing to and visiting our cake stall, helping to raise funds and create a wonderful community atmosphere. A big thank you as well to the PTA for organising the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime, which the children thoroughly enjoyed, and for supporting our Christmas movie experience, which the children loved to share together.
Alongside these events, we have carried out Reading sessions and class workshops for parents. These sessions gave families the opportunity to find out more about how reading is taught in school and how their child learns in the classroom, as well as sharing ideas on how learning can be supported at home.
Thank you to all parents, carers, and the PTA for your continued support and for helping to make this term a success.
